A Brief Eph Encounter in Lillehammer

As many skiers are coming together in Williamstown with the anticipation of beginning a new school year, a few Ephs found each other in Lillehammer, Norway. Alpine skiers Emily Porter, Eirik Buraas, and Ian Simmons stopped by my apartment on their way to Trondheim. Emily will be studying at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim this semester. In case you didn't know, I will be studying abroad for one year in Lillehammer. I guess Norway is the place to be right now for Williams skiers studying abroad! Anyway, I arrived one month ago and since then have been occupied with training, school, and learning Norwegian!

I joined a biathlon team here called Team Statkraft Lillehammer. They are a dedicated group of young athletes who go all out when it comes to training. Many of them are graduates of NTG, a Norwegian ski school, and know quite a bit about ski training techniques. They will be great group to learn from this year!

I've created my own blog for tales of my experiences here in Norway. If your interested, check it out at skiskytinginorge.blogspot.com. Tomorrow I leave for a week long training camp in Vik. I'll try to keep updates coming on how things are going here in Norway, but for now I'll say; Ha Det Bra! (Have it well!/Bye bye!)
