The Super Tour/Carnival weekend finished with a 10/15k skate at Mt Van Hoevenberg. It was a cold day and the snow was slow, but the course felt nice and wide compared to yesterday's race track, and the rolling terrain was very similar to what we are used to skiing at Prospect.
Williams had some stand-out performances, most notably Sarah Tory, who not only posted her best-ever result of 5th for the college carnival, but also placed 11th in the overall Super Tour race against some very stiff competition.
Sarah led the women's team to an overall fifth place finish, Maddy Wendt and Kirsten Johnson both placing in the top thirty to round out scoring.
Maddy's 26th place combined with yesterday's stellar performance to make for her best weekend of racing on the carnival circuit.
Mark Johnson led the men's team to 4th with his 13th place finish. Backigng him up were Keith Kantack, in 18th, and Isaac Hoenig in 24th. Isaac racked up another rookie award for the weekend - not only did he again place inside the top thirty, but he also was a key score!
Dimitri and Ian Nesbitt also placed within the top 30, with 26th and 30th places.
