First Official Day of Practice: 3,000 m Time Trial

The October skies were heavy and dark, the wind was blowing, and as soon as the team finished their warm-up and arrived at the track at 4:30 on Monday afternoon, the rain began.
It was the first official day of practice, and both Coach Fisher and Coach Smith were psyched to see the mettle of this season's team. They were not to be disappointed.
Due to some sickness around campus and Monday lab conflicts, only 11 team members ran, but the small numbers of results were high in quality.
Starting the second lap of 7.5 into the 3,000 m time trial on the track, the rain started pouring. But the team kept pouring on the heat and keeping pace, and at the finish line PR's across the board were slaughtered as a half dozen men captured sub-10's and one woman ran sub-11.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. This is looking like one tough team.
